Llamas are legendary for their guarding instincts. Tina thinks she is needed to guard the the calves and mature bulls alike. And she does! She bosses the 3-year-old bulls around like the Den Mother of a bunch of rowdy Cub Scouts.
Tina Update: 7/17/2011
Tina was picked up by her new family today. She has been a joy for us to watch intact with our yaks include handing babysitting duties for the calves. She has been a part of the family so long it will be weird to not see her every morning. She is going to have a great new home, more llamas for companionship and the and the title of Chief Goat Herder!
