We strive to build great yak genetics throughout or herd. Our cows display the same commitment to quality that our bulls do. We select for robust cows that calve reliably year in and year out. Calving ease and good mothering instincts are key traits in the selection of our breeding cows. Great cows are the key to great bulls.

We can help you get going with a starter herd, improve your current herd, or provide you beautiful pasture pets and outstanding packing and trekking animals. Yaks of all colors.....
Yaks, (Bos grunniens), are members of the bovine family. The following categories are found in the United States. Other markings and color patterns, including white, are common in other countries.
1. Imperial: Black with a Black Nose.
2. Black: Black with a Gray nose.
3. Trim: black with white trim usually on the forehead, feet and tip of tail. Can be Imperial, Black, or Golden.
4. Royal: black and white (similar to Holstein markings).
5. Golden: dun coloring over black (No Photo)
