I find it admirable that this gentleman is looking into what to do with yak fiber. I also find it curious that he doesn’t seem to have done any research. I think he may have found several companies already working with the indigenous yak herders to bring this product to the market. I also think it interesting that he made such a big deal of the odor and the need to wash his hands. When folks that work with fiber, whether (wether?) sheep’s, goat’s, or other handle yaks and yak fiber, they most often comment about how it doesn’t have much of an odor. In any case he more folks that get interested in yaks and their various products the better.
Keep yakking about yaks!
